For a Grama Panchayat, it serves as the primary executive body responsible for implementing the decisions of the Grama Sabha and managing day-to-day administration.The key components of the Panchayat are:President: The head of the Panchayat. Presides over meetings and supervises the overall functioning and activities of the Panchayat.Vice President: Discharges duties and responsibilities in the absence of the President.Ward Members: Elected representatives chosen from each ward of the Panchayat.Standing Committees: Sub-committees such as Finance, Development, Welfare, and Health and Education.

Achieving a literacy rate of 90%, the Panchayat relies primarily on wells for drinking water, with 152 public wells and 206 public drinking water taps serving the local populace. History of Vadavannur Grama Panchayat Vadavannur Panchayat was established on December 28, 1961, under the Kollengode Block Panchayat in Palakkad district. The panchayat is bounded by Pattanchery and Puthunagaram panchayats and the Gayathripuzha River to the north, Pattanchery and Muthalamada panchayats to the east, and Pallassana panchayat to the south and west. The panchayat consists solely of Vadavannur Village and covers a total area of 17.38 square kilometers. Geographically, Vadavannur is predominantly a plain region.
