The primary vision of a Grama Panchayat is to achieve sustainable and self-reliant rural development. Its main mission is to improve the quality of life of rural people through basic infrastructure, economic growth, and social justice.
Vision
Gram Swaraj: Realize Mahatma Gandhi’s concept of village self-governance and decentralization of power.
Integrated Development: Ensure economic growth along with better healthcare, education, and living standards for the people.
Sustainability: Achieve environmentally friendly development while protecting natural resources.
Equality and Inclusion: Create equal opportunities and ensure the welfare of all sections of society.
Mission
Basic Infrastructure: Provide essential facilities such as drinking water, roads, street lighting, sanitation, and other public services to all.
Social Security: Implement welfare schemes for poverty eradication, women, children, senior citizens, and differently-abled persons.
Economic Empowerment: Ensure employment and income opportunities through agriculture, small-scale industries, and employment guarantee schemes such as MGNREGS.
Participatory Governance: Plan and implement development projects with active public participation and transparency.
